This is gonna be short...work tomorrow.

Today took an unexpected turn for the better when, on a Starbucks run, I encountered a friend who I thought had gone home for the summer. We ended up getting Vietnamese and seeing the excellent indie mockumentary "A Day Without a Mexican." Basically the movie shows what might happen if all of California's Latinos disappeared for a day (and California mysteriously lost contact with the outside world.) It's funny, moving and eye-opening, and I'd highly recommend it to everyone, except it's only showing on a handful of screens in California. Ah well, there's always the DVD.
