happy monday.

Finally I got paid--not a big chunk like I thought, but a smaller chunk for the two weeks I spent at school after everyone else left, plus some extra for the "work" I did in the music library during finals week. Happy happy joy joy.
Even better news: I've got a house to myself for the next five days. Anyone who wants to visit me at 3 or 4 in the morning can do that without fear of waking up anyone. Any ideas on when the house party should be?
And yeah, I know this isn't necessarily the best week for that. I feel so sorry for anyone who has to deal with those U.S. Women's Open patrons, the middle-aged ladies with their unflattering pants and their overweight children who will be bored out of their skulls while their parents are convinced they are giving their offspring the opportunity of a lifetime. And the elderly men who keep score in their heads and secretly wish women were never allowed onto the golf course. And the noveau riche who feel that they have to go to prestigious golf tournaments because, well, that's what rich people do.
Ooooh, I've got a game for you all if you get bored! It's called "Spot the Minority!" Points to anyone who sees a black or Latino person who's in town to watch or play golf in the tournament. People who are involved in groundskeeping, catering or something similar don't count, and neither do people who spent too much time in their expensive UV tanning booths.
