Disney again? What are the odds?

Sometimes I wonder what my suitemate thinks about me. She's always being hard on herself for not being enough of an activist, for not doing more to raise community awareness, for not speaking up at (insert obscure acronym here) meetings. Meanwhile, I eat animals and wear their skins, I can't tell PDAC from AFLAC, and I use the valuable time that I could be spending helping out the oppressed and the less fortunate to...um...play guitar. Or write these half-coherent ramblings to the uncaring online masses.
Oh, man. What does she say about me?
Speaking of half-coherent ramblings (or am I flattering myself with that "half" part?) I went to Disneyland yesterday and was struck by how much it seemed like it could be the future of America under George W. Bush and similar-minded leaders. White people are everywhere--unless you count the people operating the rides. Women are relegated to the role of "damsels in distress," the ones who cook and clean with smiles on their faces despite the oppression of their evil stepmother (Condi Rice?) knowing that their prince is on the way to sweep them off their feet. Look in any direction, and you'll see something being sold. Christianity is the only acknowledged religion (were there any dancing dreidels, menorahs or, um, Kwanzaa-related items in their "Christmas Fantasy" parade? Noooo!) Violence is condoned as a solution to problems, but anything the slightest bit sexual or drug-related is swept neatly under the rug. If you ask me, the moment we open up a Disneyland in Iraq is the moment that Bush can truly say, "Mission Accomplished."
