OK, I'll be the first to acknowledge it: things aren't exactly hunky-dory in the world these days. Dory, maybe. Certainly not hunky. But even with that in mind, there are still many things to be thankful for. My own personal list:

Kettle Corn and "Sex and The City"--Warm, sunshine-filled days in November--The certainty of Bush's non-reelection in 2008--Long, overindulgent guitar solos--The Daily Show and the genious of Jon Stewart--Inadvertent sex puns--AIM, Facebook and other technological aids for social interaction--The much-underappreciated Zach Braff--iPods--iTunes--MyTunes--Any hot beverage meant to be sipped slowly out of a mug--H&M--Occasional free cheese--Cheesy Russian pop songs--The can't-be-overappreciated Johnny Depp--Finding quarters where you least expect them--Girly drinks--'80s-inspired dance rock--The triumph of the Red Sox--Dining halls at other campuses--John Ashcroft's resignation--A cappella groups consisting solely of gay men--The occasional brilliant insight in a tough class--Dogs
